Designed for Grades K–12, this assessment measures vocabulary and comprehension proficiency with texts students will encounter both in and out of school. The HMH Reading Inventory, an adaptive test of reading comprehension developed by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), allows teachers the ability to set reading growth goals and to evaluate students’ responsiveness to instruction by evaluating annual average fall-to-spring growth. The Reading Inventory is an interactive reading test that provides an assessment of reading ability. It consists of two subtests: the Foundational Reading Assessment and the Reading Comprehension Assessment.
